Manchester United ready to accept cut-price fee to offload Jadon Sancho

Manchester United are ready to offload their 23-year-old winger Jadon Sancho for a cut-price fee in January.

According to a report by Daily Star, Manchester United are looking to get rid of Jadon Sancho in the winter transfer window. The 23-year-old has had a turbulent few weeks at Old Trafford due to his rift with manager Erik ten Hag. And, the Red Devils are now ready to part ways with the England international.

Sancho arrived at Manchester United back in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £73 million. He was amongst the best young talents in world football when he joined the Red Devils. The 23-year-old was expected to take the Premier League by storm.

But, things have not gone according to plan for the England international. He has not had the kind of impact everyone expected him to have. Sancho has featured in a total of 82 matches for the Red Devils and he has only contributed towards 18 goals.

Last season all he could manage was ten goal contributions in 41 outings. The 23-year-old has slowly gone down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag. He has only featured in three matches this season and has been on the pitch for just 76 minutes.

Things went from bad to worse for the former Borussia Dortmund winger after he was dropped from the squad against Arsenal. Ten Hag said that Sancho was dropped because of his poor form and his performances in training. The England international took to social media to state that he was being used as a scapegoat and that he had been training well.

Post the rift, Manchester United were involved in talks with the player and wanted him to apologise to the manager. The 23-year-old flop does not want to back down. As of now he has been freezed from the first-team squad and is training alone.

With Sancho not ready to back down, he is unlikely to have a future at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are now looking for a possible solution. They are ready to sell the England international in the winter transfer window.
