West Ham United are keen on Filip Kostic as a new attacking signing, with Juventus open to a sale for €15 million.
According to Calciomercato, West Ham United are eying a move for Filip Kostic as David Moyes wants a new winger. He could replace Maxwel Cornet in the side, while Juventus are open to a sale for €15 million, but the Hammers could offer a little less.
Filip Kostic has proved his worth in Juventus’ system as a wide wing-back on the left-hand side, often bombing crosses into the box. West Ham have entered the race for the talented Serbian and could make a move for the 30-year-old Serie A star before Froday’s deadline.
Juventus considered him an important player last season, but this time around, Massimiliano Allegri did not select the Serbian in his lineups. The Turin side are open to a sale and want €15 million to let the 30-year-old Serie A star leave.
West Ham reportedly offers around €10 million, as the two clubs could negotiate and hammer out a deal for the 30-year-old winger. David Moyes has been looking for a versatile forward option in these latter stages and may settle on the Juventus star.
They have been linked with some Brazilian forwards, including Yuri Alberto and Marcos Leonardo, which could offset the loss of Gianluca Scamacca. They have not sufficiently replaced the Italian, who prefers to play centrally.
The Kostic signing could ideally become an addition to a new centre-forward, although much will depend on the time remaining in the window. West Ham have had a fantastic window in hindsight, with the arrivals of James Ward-Prowse, Edson Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus vitalising their season so far.
They will want to bring in a new attacking player before the Friday deadline, and at this stage, Kostic seems like their ideal target. West Ham were linked with the 30-year-old Serie A star last summer, but he decided to stay at Juventus and begin the season there.
A move to England could entice the Serbian, who could take up a new challenge in England and reject the overtures of Spain. This move looks straightforward, but the two clubs must agree on the proper fee for Kostic.
