Fulham have lodged an offer to sign 28-year-old Tottenham midfield powerhouse Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg before tonight’s transfer deadline.
According to Jacob Steinberg, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is the subject of interest from Fulham. And the Cottagers have tabled a bid to sign the 28-year-old Tottenham midfield powerhouse. The experienced midfielder is an option to replace Joao Palhinha, who will join Bayern Munich today.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League since arriving in England from Bayern Munich in 2016. The Danish international had a fruitful four-year stint with Southampton, even serving the Saints as their captain. And he has come leaps and bounds in the last three years at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 28-year-old has turned out nearly 150 times thus far for Tottenham, chipping in with ten goals and 16 assists. But Hojbjerg’s time at the North London club is close to ending, as he does not feature in Ange Postecoglou’s plans. Meanwhile, the midfield powerhouse has no shortage of suitors, with several clubs chasing him.
Widespread reports have linked Atletico Madrid most heavily with the former Bayern Munich man. He also attracted interest from the Premier League, with Manchester United considering him as an alternative to Sofyan Amrabat. But a deadline-day move to Fulham might be on the cards.
The Cottagers emerged as a suitor for Hojbjerg once Joao Palhinha started pushing for a move to Bayern Munich. And the 28-year-old might be the most ideal target for Fulham, considering his Premier League experience. They have now stepped up their efforts to sign Tottenham’s wantaway midfielder.

In addition, Hojbjerg’s intention to move across London to join Fulham is also unclear. Nonetheless, a move to Craven Cottage might be on the cards for the experienced midfielder.
