Manchester United have hada mega-million bid for French star Randal Kolo Muani turned down

According to Le Equipe journalist Loic Tanzi on Twitter, Premier League giants Manchester United have seen a mammoth offer for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani turned down.

The French attacker gained prominence following a prolific season with Eintracht Frankfurt and a stellar World Cup campaign with France last season. He almost etched his name into footballing folklore with a lasts second winner in the final only to be cruelly denied by Argentine goalie Emiliano Martinez.

That has done little to damped clubs’ interest in the striker, with several big names keeping tabs. French champions Paris Saint-Germain have already agreed personal terms with the 24-year-old but are yet to discuss the finer terms with Frankfurt to close the transfer.

This leaves an opening for other interested parties to swoop in and make their move. Frankfurt are adamant to get top dollar for their star man having denied an offer worth €70m plus bonuses from Manchester United earlier in the summer.

It remains unclear as to when the offer was made this summer. The Red Devils have already brought in Danish ace Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta and it should prove interesting if their offer for Kolo Muani was made after the Danish striker’s arrival.

Given that Kolo Muani can play anywhere along the frontline, the Red Devils could consider using the French in conjunction with Hojlund as an inside forward. It should see them relegate the ineffective Antony to the bench and add further bite to the attacking roster.

PSG continue in the driving seat for the Frenchman and the onus is now on them to make an offer that will catch Frankfurt’s attention. As long as the structure of the deal is to the Bundesliga side’s liking, a deal should be completed soon.

A  move to the Parc des Princes will not just see Kolo Muani return to France but also become a key cog in the champions’ lineup post the Lionel Messi and Neymar era. The 24-year-old could prove to be an inspired signing for PSG for years to come.
