Liverpool hold further discussions to sign Ryan Gravenberch

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for 21-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, a target for Manchester United.

Ryan Gravenberch has been linked with a move to the Premier League after struggling to secure regular football at Bayern Munich. And a report from Daily Mail claims that Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on signing the midfielder, with the Reds have holding fresh talks to sign the player.

Liverpool need to bring in midfield reinforcements after missing out on players like Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. Both players have decided to join Chelsea, and the Reds will have to find quality alternatives now.

It seems that they have identified the former Ajax midfielder as a potential target for Liverpool, along with Manchester United. Gravenberch was regarded as one of the best young midfielders in the world during his time at Ajax, and he has the potential to develop into an important first-team player for Liverpool as well.

Playing alongside top-class players like Thiago Alcântara will help the midfielder improve, and he is likely to get more game time as well. In addition to that, the opportunity to work with a world-class manager like Jurgen Klopp will help him improve further.

The German tactician has done well to nurture talented young players throughout his managerial career, and he could help the 21-year-old fulfil his tremendous potential. The Reds have parted ways with five midfielders this summer, and they need to bring in adequate replacements.

So far they have signed just Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. Ideally, Liverpool should look to bring in at least another midfielder before the summer transfer window closes. Last season, they finished outside of the top four.

The Reds will not be competing in the UEFA Champions League this year, and they will be desperate to return to the premier european competition next season. Someone like Gravenberch will certainly help them improve in the midfield, and it remains to be seen whether the Reds can agree on a deal with the Germans for him.

Meanwhile, Manchester United need to bring in midfield reinforcements as well, especially after the departure of Fred. Scott McTominay has been linked with a move away from the club as well. Erik ten Hag must look to bring in a quality central midfielder before the window closes, and the Red Devils are keen on Sofyan Amrabat as well.
