Newcastle United will sign 18-year-old Irish wonderkid Kevin Zefi from Serie A giants Inter Milan before the summer transfer window closes.
According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, Kevin Zefi should be the final signing of the summer transfer window for Newcastle United. The Magpies are on the verge of securing the services of the 18-year-old whizkid. And amid rumours surrounding him, the youngster has not trained with Inter Milan Primavera.
Kevin Zefi spent most of his formative years in his homeland, turning out for St. Kevins Boys and Shamrock Rovers. But the Irish prodigy took the bold decision to leave his country before turning professional, joining Inter Milan in August 2021. And he has rapidly risen through the ranks at the Serie A club.
The 18-year-old has played for four age-group teams at Inter Milan in the last two years. And Zefi has an impressive combined tally of 22 goals and 11 assists in 42 recorded appearances for the four sides. The youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, with Newcastle United keen on signing him.
The Magpies have recruited several promising youngsters since the PIF takeover. Some of the notable names are Garang Kuol, Yankuba Minteh, and Sam Alabi. And it does not look like they are stopping anytime soon, with Lewis Hall on the verge of joining Newcastle United to bolster the first-team squad.

The report claims that the Irish whizkid is closing in on joining Newcastle United. And he has not been training for Cristian Chivu’s Inter Milan Primavera since rumours linking him with the Premier League club emerged.
