Saudi giants Al Ittihad have made an approach for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah
According to Rudy Galetti on Twitter, Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad have made an approach to land Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Egyptian ace has been one of the best players in the world since arriving at Anfield from Roma in 2017. He has since donned the Red jersey with pride, playing a key role in the club’s success under Jurgen Klopp.
Despite playing just his seventh season on Merseyside, Salah has amassed 186 goals and 80 assists in 306 games for the club across all competitions. A dynamic goalscorer, he is a consistent performer upfront and has time and again led the team to glory.
🚨🗣️ #AlIttihad approached #Salah and #Liverpool to explore the opportunity for his transfer.
‼️ Momo doesn't mind the idea to land in 🇸🇦, but considering the utmost respect for his club, he will let to #LFC decide freely.

Saudi clubs have shaken the football world order with their financial might as several high-profile players have made the move to the middle east. Al Ittihad landed Liverpool star Fabinho earlier this summer but are back for more.
Salah is the Muslim world’s biggest footballer and landing him would be a huge coup for Al Ittihad. The player, for his part, is open to the move but will not force it due to his respect for Liverpool.
Any deal will depend on whether the Saudi giants and Liverpool can reach an agreement. Given that the 2023/24 campaign is already underway, the chances of the Reds sanctioning their biggest star’s exit appear unlikely.
Salah recently penned a new deal and his agent had earlier come out in the summer to claim that the player is not going anywhere anytime soon. There is little reason for him to have changed his mind, especially so late in the transfer window.
Despite turning 31, Salah still has several years at the top left in him and it makes little sense for him to move to the middle east just yet. Even two years down the line, he will still be seen as one of the Muslim world’s best players and it is unlikely that there will be no sides keen to throw the cheque book at him.
Regardless of how it turns out, Salah’s reputation at Anfield is more than secure and he will be considered a club legend in the years to come. Staying on and helping the Reds to further success will certainly see him scale further heights in the hearts and minds of the fans.
