Inter Milan are confident of convincing Arsenal to sell Filarin Balogun as they could offer attractive structures.
According to Rudy Galetti, Inter Milan are confident heading to Arsenal and signing Folarin Balogun. The Serie A giants are preparing an offer for the 22-year-old forward and could offer the Gunners exciting structures to convince over a deal.
Mikel Arteta has sufficiently indicated that Folarin Balogun does not feature in his plans. In the last few games, especially in the US, the Spaniard barely used the USMNT star in games. He even ignored him during the Emirates Cup clash and the Community Shield win.
Balogun seems like a prized asset that Arsenal are ready to cash in this summer, but they have not caved on the asking price so far. The Gunners have demanded around €45-50 million for the 22-year-old forward. Primary suitor Inter Milan have yet to come close to matching.
Inter Milan are keen on the striker and recently stopped talks with Arsenal owing to the high asking price. They had then identified Gianluca Scamacca and saw a bid rejected. In a twist of events, the Italian striker then agreed terms with Atalanta, leaving Inter Milan dry and back in the hunt for a new striker.
🚨 #Balogun, #Inter set the framework to be discussed with #Arsenal:
▪️ ~€30m fixed fee;
▪️ ~€5m add-ons;
▪️ % of future sale.💰 The initial request of #AFC was around €45m, but the ⚫🔵 are confident to close positively the deal with the structure above mentioned. 🐓⚽ pic.twitter.com/lUS3qHj8Bq

They have since rekindled their interest in Balogun and are ready to hold talks with Arsenal to find a solution. Despite the Gunners holding firm on their valuations, Inter Milan are confident of a deal as they prepare a proposal with attractive structures.
They are reportedly prepared to pay €30 million in fixed fees with another €5 million in add-ons. Inter Milan are open to including a sell-on clause and structure with attractive percentages to convince Arsenal. Arteta and Edu Gaspar may only accept this offer if they receive more guarantees on the fixed fee.
Moreover, they know Inter Milan’s recent dealings to sell Andre Onana and Marcelo Brozovic for big money. Hence, they might not cave into claims they do not have the funds. Therefore, for Inter Milan to convince the Gunners, they must make an offer close to Arsenal’s asking price.
Hence, this deal might take some time to conclude, but Inter Milan are the favorites to sign the 22-year-old forward from Arsenal. Whether they make a sizeable new bid remains the question, but there’s some confidence growing among those in charge of the Italian giants.
