Crystal Palace are keen on acquiring the services of 30-year-old Getafe shot-stopper David Soria amidst interest from Real Madrid.

According to a report by AS, Crystal Palace are looking to sign a new goalkeeper in the ongoing transfer window and have their eyes set on David Soria. The 30-year-old Getafe shot-stopper has been doing wonders over the past 18 months and he is on the radar of multiple top clubs.

After being a part of the Sevilla set-up for five years Soria joined Getafe in the summer of 2018 and he hasn’t looked back since. The 30-year-old has been involved in a total of 185 matches since joining them and has managed to keep a total of 68 clean sheets.

As far as last season is concerned, the former Sevilla goalkeeper was involved in 39 matches and he managed to keep a clean sheet in 14 of those fixtures. Soria was exceptional in goal and he was the mainstay of the Getafe outfit that managed to avoid relegation.

On the back of his impressive performances, there is a lot of interest in his services. Real Madrid are one of the clubs who are closely monitoring the 30-year-old. They are considering re-signing their youth player who left the club back in 2012.

Andriy Lunin’s future is uncertain, while the player is keen on continuing at the Madrid-based club, they are not really convinced with his performances in the pre-season and are considering offloading him. If he ends up leaving, Los Blancos will be in need of a new backup goalkeeper and Soria is at the top of their list.
