Manchester United midfielder Fred has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

The 30-year-old midfielder appears to be an expandable asset for the Red Devils and they are ready to cash in on him. According to a report from GazetaVatan, Galatasaray have opened negotiations to sign the player and they have now come forward with an improved offer to sign him.

Apparently, Manchester United value the player at €9 million and Galatasaray have already had an offer of around €6 million knocked back for the Brazilian. The Turkish outfit have now increased their offer to €7 million and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can come to a compromise.

The €59 million midfielder has had a mixed spell at Manchester United since joining the club and it will be interesting to see if he decides to move on the summer.

Fred needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and moving away from Manchester United could be ideal for him.

He is unlikely to be a regular starter for the Red Devils next season, especially if they sign a central midfielder.

Manchester United have been linked with a number of midfielders in recent weeks and it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.

A move to Turkey could be ideal for the 30-year-old at this stage of his career. He has the technical attributes to thrive in Turkish football and he could be a key player for Galatasaray.

The drop in quality and lesser intensity of Turkish football could suit Fred at this stage of his career and he would get to experience regular first-team action as well.

The Brazilian is not the only midfielder linked with a move away from Old Trafford and Manchester United could look to cash in on Scott McTominay as well.

Meanwhile, Fred has been linked with Premier League clubs like Fulham as well.

Manchester United will hope to strengthen their squad significantly before the summer transfer window closes and selling their fringe players will certainly boost their transfer coffers.
