Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe have reportedly sealed an agreement over a possible move in the 2024 summer transfer window.
According to reputed French journalist Santi Aouna, Kylian Mbappe is a step closer to joining Real Madrid, albeit in the 2024 summer transfer window. The two parties already have an agreement over a move next year. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain will demand €180-200 million to part ways with the French international.
Kylian Mbappe is one of the most well-known names from the footballing world. Arguably the best player in the world, the 24-year-old has seen his stock skyrocket since his humble beginnings at AS Monaco. And he has the world at his feet despite not being close to his peak years yet.
The Frenchman is already a World Cup winner and came close to going back-to-back with Les Bleus in Qatar last year. Meanwhile, the player enjoyed an excellent 2022/23 campaign, amassing 41 goals and ten assists in 43 appearances. But Mbappe’s PSG future is non-existent after he revealed he would not sign a new deal with them. And his next destination is likely Real Madrid.
Mbappe’s name has featured prominently on Real Madrid’s wishlist for a long time. The Merengues have considered signing the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner on three occasions. And while they should have secured his services last summer, the player chose to renew his contract with PSG.
Real Madrid will have another opportunity to secure Mbappe’s services after he chose not to commit his future to PSG. And recent reports have suggested that the French international is on the verge of joining Los Blancos. But those claims seem wide of the mark, with the two clubs yet to open talks, according to Santi Aouna.
Meanwhile, PSG will demand €180-200 million to part ways with the 24-year-old this summer. On the other hand, the player wants to honour his contract with Les Parisiens before leaving as a free agent next year. And he already has an agreement with Real Madrid over a Bosman move in 2024.

Santi Aouna’s update suggests a move in the 2024 summer transfer window is likelier than this year. But it will be interesting to see if PSG can exchange Mbappe’s services with Real Madrid this summer in a big-money deal.
