Manchester United keen on Felix Nmecha

Manchester United are interested in acquiring the services of 22-year-old German international Felix Nmecha.

According to a report by SPORT1, Manchester United are keen on having Felix Nmecha in their ranks. The 22-year-old has made quite a name for himself of late. His impressive performances earned him his debut for the German national team.

Nmecha who once used to be a part of the Manchester City youth setup has gone from strength to strength since joining VfL Wolfsburg. Things didn’t work out for the young attacking midfielder at City and he decided to move to Wolfsburg in search of regular first-team minutes.

His decision has paid off big time as the German international has put in impressive performances over the last two seasons and he is now on the radar of multiple top clubs from across Europe.

The 22-year-old’s contract with the German club ends in the summer of 2024 according to SPORT1. And, with just a year left in his contract, a lot of clubs want to push for his services in the summer.

Wolfsburg don’t really have many options, they might be forced to sell as they won’t risk losing out on him for free in the following summer.

Borussia Dortmund are one of the clubs that have been scouting the attacking midfielder for a while now. Dortmund have always looked for young prospects who could be bought for a bargain price. And, with the 22-year-old likely to be available for a fee of around €15 million, they are keen on having him in their ranks.

However, the team in yellow and black will have to battle it out with Manchester United. The Red Devils are keen on bolstering their midfield and have their eyes on the former City youth product.

Erik ten Hag wants to acquire a young attack-minded midfielder ahead of next season. And, he believes the German international could be a great signing for the present as well as the future. The Red Devils have already held talks with Nmecha’s father who is currently managing the player.

With United already in conversation with the player’s representative and the player keen on a move to a bigger club, it is almost certain that he won’t be a part of Wolfsburg next season. But, it will be interesting to see if United can manage to land him at Old Trafford.
