Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having the 26-year-old Leeds United centre-back Robin Koch in their ranks ahead of next season.
According to a report by Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having Robin Koch in their ranks. The future of the 26-year-old has become the talk of the town ever since Leeds United got relegated to the EFL Championship. And, Spurs are one of the contenders for his services.
Koch joined Leeds back in the summer of 2020 from SC Freiburg. He has been a regular starter for the team ever since he made the move. While Leeds have struggled throughout, Koch has done his bit.
The 26-year-old has been the mainstay for their team in the ongoing season. He has been involved in 39 matches in all competitions and has been amongst the best performers for the team in white.
The German international has been a great servant for the club. But, he might look for a move elsewhere in the summer post their relegation. Leeds suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham on the final day of the Premier League season. They finished 19th on the table and will feature in the Championship next season.
Following their relegation, many of their star players might push for a move. And, Koch is on the radar of multiple clubs from across Europe. His contract expires in just over a year and with Leeds no longer in the English top flight, the 26-year-old could be available for a fee as low as £15 million.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are one of the clubs keen on having him. Spurs are looking to strengthen their defence ahead of next season. And, they believe Koch could be a great acquisition as he will be available for a cut price.
The German international is capable enough to feature in a back three as well as a back four. He can even feature as the midfielder and will surely be a great asset to have. However, Spurs are not the only ones in the race for the 26-year-old and it will be interesting to see if they can acquire his services.
