Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly on the verge of finalising a deal worth €100 million plus add-ons for Jude Bellingham.
According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Jude Bellingham is a step closer to joining Real Madrid. The agreement between Los Blancos and Borussia Dortmund is at the final stage. And the English wonderkid will likely move to the Santiago Bernabeu in a deal worth €100 million plus add-ons.
Jude Bellingham has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world despite being several years away from his peak. The 19-year-old has been highly sought-after since breaking out at Birmingham City FC nearly four years ago. And he has come leaps and bounds since joining Borussia Dortmund in 2020.
The English wonderkid is now a pivotal figure for his club and country. And he has enjoyed an excellent 2022/23 season, amassing 14 goals and seven assists in 42 appearances thus far. But Bellingham’s long-term future is away from Dortmund, with Real Madrid his next destination. And he will aim to leave after delivering the Bundesliga title this weekend.
Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will likely continue at Real Madrid for another season. But despite the duo’s extended stay, Los Blancos will need a long-term successor for them. And Bellingham’s name has been on Real Madrid’s wishlist for a long time. However, they faced competition from Liverpool and Manchester City for several months before blowing them out of the water.

The Merengues are Bellingham’s choice for his next destination, and they hope to finalise his deal with Borussia Dortmund. Real Madrid will contact the German club for the final round of discussions. And an agreement is on the verge of completion, with the base fee being worth €100 million.
But Real Madrid will not contact Dortmund before the Bundesliga season out of respect for the ongoing title race. The duel with Bayern Munich has stretched to the campaign’s final day. And Los Blancos will look to finalise the deal as soon as the next week. Meanwhile, personal terms will not be an issue for Real Madrid.
