Manchester United to enter bidding war for Declan Rice

Manchester United are all set to enter the race for the services of West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice amidst interest from Arsenal.

According to Daily Mail, Manchester United have entered the race for the services of Declan Rice. The 24-year-old is likely to be the most sought-after player in the upcoming transfer window and there could be a bidding war between some of the biggest English clubs for his services.

Rice joined West Ham United’s youth academy back in the summer of 2013. He has come through the ranks and established himself as one of the most important players for the Hammers. But, it looks like his time at the club is all set to end.

The 24-year-old is all set for a move to a bigger club in the summer. Rice is keen on playing Champions League football next season and there are quite a few clubs that are willing to go the distance for his services.

Meanwhile, with just over a year left in his contract, West Ham want to cash in on him. They are willing to let him leave for a fee of over £100 million. However, they are hoping for a bidding war as it will allow them to get the best possible price.

Arsenal have been interested in the 24-year-old for a while and are expected to push for him in the summer. Arteta is keen on strengthening his midfield as they look to once again push for the Premier League title next season.

The Gunners are well ahead in the race and they are set to make an £90 million bid for the England international. However, it is below West Ham United’s valuation as they are not ready to negotiate an offer below £100 million.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have entered the race. The Red Devils are keen on having Rice, Erik ten Hag wants to strengthen his midfield and believes the 24-year-old could help him push for the league title next season.

He could form a deadly duo with Casemiro in the centre of the park. Rice has all the qualities to fit into Ten Hag’s system, and he might be the missing piece in their jigsaw.

With Manchester United set to battle it out with Arsenal for his services, it will be interesting to see where he ends up playing his football next season.
