According to a report by Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, Lucas Beltran is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are also interested in the 22-year-old striker. Meanwhile, he has a release clause worth €25 million in his contract with River Plate.
Lucas Beltran is a native of Cordoba and rose through the ranks at Instituto Atletico Central Cordoba before graduating from the River Plate Academy. Since then, he has come leaps and bounds, including a decent loan stint with CA Colon in the 2021 season. And he has been progressing well in the last 15 months.
The 22-year-old has started the 2023 season strongly, scoring eight goals in 20 appearances thus far. The youngster has also provided an assist, with his game becoming well-rounded. And Beltran’s progress has not gone unnoticed, with several high-profile clubs, including Real Madrid, interested in him.
Real Madrid will lose Mariano Diaz in the summer transfer window. The 29-year-old is frustrated due to a lack of game time and wants to leave Real Madrid to resurrect his career. And with Mariano at the peak of his powers, he can still enjoy a few memorable seasons before his prime years end.
