Tottenham and Newcastle United will reportedly look to sign former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi from Marseille this summer.

According to Mohamed Toubache, Matteo Guendouzi is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The North London giants are keen on signing the former Arsenal midfielder in the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old is also a target for Newcastle United, with Marseille demanding €32 million to part ways with him.

Matteo Guendouzi spent most of his formative years with Paris Saint-Germain but graduated from the FC Lorient Academy. Meanwhile, he rose to prominence during his short stint with Arsenal, which practically ended after a few run-ins with Mikel Arteta. And after excelling on loan at Hertha Berlin, the Frenchman joined Marseille in July 2021.

Les Phoceens initially signed the 24-year-old on a season-long loan deal before completing a permanent transfer a year later. And Guendouzi’s stock has risen again, especially after becoming a regular for the French national side. Meanwhile, he has chipped in with five goals and five assists in 41 appearances this term. But the player might return to England soon, with Tottenham and Newcastle United interested.
