Barcelona consider re-signing Neymar

Barcelona will launch a double raid on PSG to re-sign experienced duo Neymar and Lionel Messi, with the latter arriving on a free transfer.

According to a report by Football Transfers, Barcelona will look to exact revenge on PSG in the summer transfer window. The Catalan giants fancy re-signing Lionel Messi in a Bosman move. In addition, they will launch the offensive to land Neymar, thus completing a double raid on Les Parisiens.

Neymar rose to prominence at Santos FC before his stock skyrocketed during a four-year stint with Barcelona. But the Brazilian international’s spell at Spotify Camp Nou ended in acrimony, as he completed a world-record move to PSG. Since then, he has blown hot and cold, with injuries hampering him considerably. But he has still been excellent this term, amassing 18 goals and 17 assists in 29 outings.

On the other hand, Lionel Messi is arguably the most recognisable player in the game’s history. The Argentine wizard made his name as Barcelona’s talisman before his stint ended in tears. With the Blaugrana failing to renew terms with him, he joined PSG nearly two years ago.

But Messi’s stint with PSG has been laden with controversy, with supporters often jeering him. And the recent controversy surrounding him has turned the entire PSG fanbase against him. So Messi will not remain at PSG beyond the summer, with Barcelona being one of his possible destinations.

Recent reports have claimed that Messi is closing in on rejoining Barcelona in a Bosman move. But Al Hilal will look to steal a march on Barcelona for the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner. Meanwhile, the Catalan giants want to complete a double raid on PSG, with Neymar emerging as a target.

The Blaugrana will soon launch the offensive for the Brazilian international, who should be an upgrade on the current wide attackers. And an offensive trio of Neymar, Messi, and Robert Lewandowski will leave opposition defences sweating. Meanwhile, PSG will unlikely stand in Neymar’s way if he wants to leave.

The 31-year-old has lost curry at PSG following his fitness woes. Meanwhile, he is also a target for several Premier League clubs. But after previously attempting to rejoin Barcelona, Neymar might be eager to return to Camp Nou, with Messi in tow. It will be interesting to see if a double raid on PSG sees the light of day.
