Arsenal are reportedly interested in securing the services of Borussia Dortmund starlet Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
According to Fichajes, Premier League side Arsenal are interested in Borussia Dortmund teenage sensation Jamie Bynoe-Gittens ahead of the 2023 summer transfer window. And they are considering offering €30 million to sign the 18-year-old wonderkid.
The Gunners have emerged as title contenders this season and are arguably the second-best team in the Premier League behind Manchester City. Mikel Arteta still has work to do and will land himself a trump card should he reinforce the team with the right players over the summer.
Arsenal’s squad is a mix of youth and experience, priming them to challenge for years to come. Arteta is keen to add to his roster and has urged the club to go after Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
The 18-year-old was in the youth ranks of several English clubs such as Rangers, Chelsea, Reading and Manchester City before moving to Signal Iduna Park in 2020. It proved to be an inspired choice as the youngster has thrived under Edin Terzic and his predecessor Marco Rose.
Capable of playing anywhere along the frontline, Bynoe-Gittens has made 24 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, scoring three goals and assisting one more. This versatility augurs well for Arsenal, given the football they play.
He would thrive in their quick-footed pass-and-move system, adding more fluidity to the frontline. Playing alongside a young core, Bynoe-Gittens could help the Gunners future-proof their attack.
By landing him, Arsenal would be stealing a march on their rivals by securing the services of a potential world-class talent. Negotiations with Dortmund are unlikely to be easy. But a bid of around €30 million or more could bring them to the discussion table.
The teenager is the latest Englishman to draft his success story at Dortmund. Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham both became household names at Signal Iduna Park, proving that Germany is a field where they could hone their talent.
Sancho has since moved to Manchester United, while Bellingham appears to be on his way to Real Madrid. Dortmund will be well advised to keep hold of Bynoe-Gittens until his value explodes. Given the way he is going, it could be a matter of time.
