AC Milan and Juventus are interested in acquiring the services of 27-year-old Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.
According to Calciomercatoweb, AC Milan and Juventus are interested in signing Anthony Martial. The 27-year-old forward’s future at Old Trafford is uncertain and might depend on what kind of business United does in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Martial has been a part of the Manchester United setup since joining them from AS Monaco back in the summer of 2015. He started off in fine fashion and slowly became an integral part of their first team squad.
The 27-year-old has featured in 292 matches for the Red Devils. He has found the back of the net on 86 occasions and also has 53 assists to his name. While he has done his bit, injuries have been a significant roadblock in his progress.
Despite struggling with injuries throughout the ongoing season, Martial has been involved in 10 goals in 23 matches. Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag is not sure if he can bank on the 27-year-old for the upcoming season. The Dutch manager has done wonders since taking charge of the Manchester-based club.
He has done a great job but is looking to take the next step by reinforcing his squad ahead of next season. Ten Hag’s priority is to sign a top-class forward ahead of next season. Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar is on the radar of Manchester United. Meanwhile, PSG are looking to revamp their squad and are considering the sale of their Brazilian forward.
If Manchester United end up signing Neymar or any other top-class forward, they might consider the sale of Martial. And this is where the Serie A clubs come in. Juventus and Inter Milan are both keen on bolstering their attack and would love to have the French international in their ranks.
Dusan Vlahovic’s future at Juventus is uncertain and the club are preparing for the future with their star forward. They have their eyes on the 27-year-old Manchester United forward. The Old Lady consider him to be a great option heading into the summer transfer window.
Similar is the situation of AC Milan, who are also looking to bolster their attack in the upcoming window. Majority of their forwards are in the twilight of their careers. And, the Rossoneri want to add a young forward who can bring in a new dynamic.
With Rafael Leao likely to part ways with the club in the summer, signing Martial could work as a short-term fix. However, the 27-year-old forward’s future depends on Manchester United’s summer acquisitions. As a result, it will be interesting to see if any of the Italian clubs manage to secure his services.
