Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing 21-year-old midfielder Khephren Thuram ahead of next season.
According to 90min, Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on having Khephren Thuram in their ranks. The 21-year-old midfielder has been doing wonders for OGC Nice in Ligue 1. And, a lot of clubs have their eyes set on the youngster.
Thuram has been called up in the France squad for the Euro Qualifiers. The 21-year-old is expected to make his international debut in the coming weeks and will follow in the footsteps of his brother Marcus and father Lillian.
Thuram joined AS Monaco’s youth setup back in 2016. He came through the ranks at the club before joining OGC Nice in the summer of 2019. The 21-year-old has gone from strength to strength since joining the French club.
He has made a total of 129 appearances for the Ligue 1 side and has 19 goal contributions to his name. The Nice defensive midfielder has been super consistent in the ongoing season. He has featured in 39 games and has ten goal contributions.
The French international’s current contract with Nice runs until the summer of 2025. However, he might be on his way to a bigger club in the summer. His impressive performances have not gone unnoticed. Some of the biggest clubs in world football have their eyes on Thuram. They are likely to push for him in the summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Liverpool are two of the Premier League clubs who are keen on the 21-year-old. Jurgen Klopp’s team have struggled in the ongoing season. And a lot of it is because of an inconsistent midfield.
The German manager wants a complete midfield overhaul and has his eyes on the Nice defensive midfielder. Klopp feels he could be a great fit at the club and will offer them a lot of years ahead. However, they are not alone in the race as United are also interested in acquiring his services.
