Randal Kolo Muani might not leave Eintracht Frankfurt until June 2024 amid interest from Liverpool and Manchester United.
Fabrizio Romano has told Caught Offside that Eintracht Frankfurt will try to keep hold of the French forward Randal Kolo Muani until June 2024. Kolo Muani has been impressive of late and has attracted a lot of interest from across Europe. But, the Bundesliga giants not ready to sell him ahead of next season.
Fabrizio Romano said, “I’m told Eintracht Frankfurt’s position is not clear yet. People close to the club feel they will insist to keep the player at least until June 2024, but it will depend on the proposals as always. The price could go up to €80m/€90m. Again, it depends on Frankfurt and whether they want to sell or not.”
Premier League clubs Manchester United and Liverpool have been interested in the 24-year-old French international for a while now. They have been keeping a close eye on the Frankfurt forward. But, it seems they will have to wait until the summer of 2024 to strike a deal with the club.
Randal Kolo Muani has been sensational in the ongoing season. He has racked up 14 goals and 14 assists for the German outfit. In his 19 Bundesliga appearances, the 24-year-old has been involved in 21 goals. His numbers are outstanding, and his performances on the pitch have not gone unnoticed. A lot of clubs are interested in acquiring his services.
However, it all started at the FIFA World Cup 2022 for Muani. He can into the limelight because of his goal in the World Cup semi-final against Morocco. He even made an appearance in the World Cup final for France. Initially, he was not a part of the squad, but an injury to Christopher Nkunku saw him join the French squad for the mega event.
Eintracht Frankfurt signed Muani in the summer of 2022, and his contract at the club ends in 2027. As a result, the German outfit will have the upper hand in the negotiations. There might be a lot of interest in his services. But the Eagles are not yet clear if they want to let him leave a year after signing him. However, people close to the club believe they will try to keep him until June 2024.
Manchester United and Liverpool both need firepower in their squads for different reasons. Manchester United need a proper number nine to challenge for the title next season, whereas Liverpool need to revive themselves after a poor outing this season. But, it looks like things won’t work out in the summer for either of them.
Romano believes that Kolo Muani’s price is likely to go up to €90 million. And, Eintracht Frankfrurt might think about letting him leave in the summer if there is a bid around that region. It will be interesting to see how things pan out and if Manchester United or Liverpool are ready to pay such a sum.
