Spanish giants Real Madrid are interested in signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Calciomercatoweb, Real Madrid are considering a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the summer of 2023. The Serb is on Los Blancos’ radar, and they are willing to push for the services of the €80 million forward.
Of late, Real Madrid have not done much in the transfer market. But, they are expected to go big in the summer of 2023. The Merengues are likely to make a few big signings for the next season. Carlo Ancelotti will be looking for the next generation of stars to continue Los Blancos’ dominance in Europe.
Juventus acquired the services of Dusan Vlahovic in the January 2022 transfer window. It was a big-money move that saw him join the Bianconeri. But, according to widespread reports the Serie A giants might lose out on their prized possession in six months’ time.
Juventus were handed a 15-point deduction by the Italian soccer court in the mid of January 2023. The Italian soccer court has penalized them for unfair transfer dealings. They were third on the points table, but due to the deduction, they now are 10th. And, European football next season looks next to impossible.
The Serie A giants do have a chance to appeal against it, but will unlikely succeed. Eventually, if it does stand they will be forced to let go of some of their top young talents. And, Dusan Vlahovic is expected to be a name on that list. The 23-year-old striker is a huge prospect and a lot of clubs have their eyes on him.
Vlahovic has played 17 matches in all competitions this season and has contributed with nine goals and two assists. It has been a decent season for the Serbian forward at the club. Meanwhile, Vlahovic’s market value has skyrocketed to €80 million.
But because of what is going on behind the season, he might look for a move elsewhere. Since his arrival, the Serbian striker has played 38 matches for Juventus, scoring 16 goals. He is an out-and-out number nine with great control on the ball. Many big clubs across Europe are in search of a proper number nine.
Recent reports suggested he offered himself to Real Madrid. And the reigning La Liga champions are now considering signing him from Serie A club Juventus. Despite having Karim Benzema in their ranks, Los Blancos will have to secure a forward in the summer.
The leader of Real Madrid’s attack is already 35 and is not going to get any younger. Bringing in Vlahovic in the summer will help them transition as Benzema is likely to stay at the club for another season. It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid bid for the striker in the summer. But Juventus could well demand over his €80 million market value in the coming months.
