The entourage of Jude Bellingham have informed Real Madrid of ongoing talks with Liverpool, but the race remains wide open.
According to Jan Aage Fjortoft, the representatives of Jude Bellingham are talking with Liverpool over a potential summer transfer. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder’s team has also informed Real Madrid of the developments with the Reds. The race for the England international remains open.
Jude Bellingham is set for a massive move in the summer, with some of the biggest clubs in the continent chasing him. The England international is steadily becoming one of the most coveted players, with a scramble set to ensue for his services.
Borussia Dortmund are not about to let him leave on the cheap, as his contract does not contain a release clause. Unlike the Erling Haaland deal, the Bundesliga giants are not resigned to losing a star name where they do not have control over his future.
He will cost a vast sum. And considering figures of €150 million are already being touted, only a handful of clubs could realistically afford him. Chelsea, Real Madrid, and the Manchester clubs could compete for his signature. Meanwhile, Liverpool are reportedly considered one of the favourites.
Liverpool could become Bellingham’s ideal destination, and the Reds are genuinely interested. Jurgen Klopp has reiterated the club’s inability to compete with some other sides’ financial muscle. Yet, he will remain open to spending big on one player.
The Reds have done similar transfers in the past and may consider Bellingham, the type of player the club can spend heavily on. Whether they can match Dortmund’s demands is another question. But they are optimistic about signing Bellingham.
The tweet claims Bellingham’s entourage is already talking to Liverpool. The team has informed Real Madrid of these discussions. The Spanish giants consider the England international their primary midfield target. They could put their best foot forward to sign him.
For weeks, reports in the media have made Real Madrid the outright favourites to sign the midfielder. With Liverpool and Manchester City interested in Bellingham, things could become complicated for the Spanish outfit.
They, too, remain optimistic and believe they can sign Bellingham for the right fee. Yet, people are still determining what Dortmund might demand for the star. And it is safe to assume the race is entirely open as things stand.
