Stefan Posch on Tottenham radar

Tottenham are reportedly interested in Austrian defender Stefan Posch, on loan at Serie A club Bologna from Hoffenheim.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Stefan Posch, who is on loan at Serie A club Bologna. The 25-year-old Hoffenheim defender has done quite well during his loan spell at the Italian outfit. And his performances seem to have caught the attention of Tottenham.

The Premier League giants need defensive reinforcements, and they have been linked with a number of defenders, including Pedro Porro, in recent weeks. Stefan Posch be a smart acquisition for Tottenham, and he could be a useful squad player for Antonio Conte.

Posch is naturally a centre-back but can operate as a right-back as well. His versatility will be an added bonus for Tottenham. And it remains to be seen whether the north Londoners can secure his services in the coming months. Apparently, Bologna have the option to sign the 25-year-old permanently at the end of the season for a fee of around €5 million.

The report states that Tottenham might have to pay around €10-12 million to sign Posch because of his improved performances in Serie A this season. A club with Tottenham’s resources certainly have that kind of money. And it remains to be seen whether Conte is prepared to bring him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
