Arsenal front-runners to sign Dusan Vlahovic

Arsenal reportedly lead the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic, with Serie A giants Juventus likely to sell if they receive a sizeable offer.

According to Calciomercatoweb, Juventus could part ways with Dusan Vlahovic if they receive a sizeable offer for the striker. Arsenal’s name is again thrown in the mix, with the report suggesting the Gunners could pounce for the forward, possibly in the summer transfer window.

Dusan Vlahovic continues to divide opinions among Juventus supporters. The striker has yet to show the form that convinced the Serie A giants to spend big on him. The Serbian forward has failed to recreate his form with Fiorentina since making his big move.

The report suggests things are gloomy between Vlahovic and Juventus. Moreover, supporters remain open to seeing the striker depart. Calciomercatoweb claims that the player was not performing at his top level, stating he was saving his best for the World Cup.

He endured a torrid time in Qatar, scoring only once and has suffered injuries since returning. The report also adds there are problems between the striker and Massimiliano Allegri. Moreover, the Bianconeri have performed well in recent weeks without their frontman, and Juventus are open to a sale.

The Serie A giants reportedly value the striker at €110 million, a sizeable fee even for Premier League clubs. Arsenal’s name is again mentioned as a possible suitor, with the report claiming Mikel Arteta retains an interest in the forward.

Arsenal showed an interest last January and tried hard to bring the striker to the Emirates. Amid plenty of drama with his agent, Vlahovic eventually got his desire to join Juventus. But he could be on the move again. The Bianconeri are reportedly open to offers this month but may have to wait until the summer.

In December, many stories insisted Vlahovic was open to joining Arsenal. There was speculation that Arteta might consider signing a new striker. For now, the Gunners are focused only on getting Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk and may not have the budget for another big move.

Chelsea were also briefly interested in the Serb. However, there are no signs they will come back into the fold for the player. Hence, the Gunners could reportedly target a move next summer. They will hope to negotiate terms with Juventus over the huge €110 million price.

The coming months will prove crucial for Vlahovic to save his Juventus career, as he needs to show the team plays better with him. A move away is possible if the two parties cannot patch up their differences. Many Premier League clubs will likely show an interest, including Arsenal.
