Arsenal are on the verge of closing an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk over the signature of forward Mykhaylo Mudryk.
As per journalist Jorge Baravalle, Arsenal are in the last stages of finalising a deal for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk. The Gunners have been in extensive dialogue and as it stands a transfer is only a matter of time.
Mikel Arteta has led his side to the top of the Premier League and has maintained a healthy distance with the likes of Manchester City and Newcastle United.
The final stages of the deal are being organized and it could very much exceed the €100 million mark. Mudryk has been Arsenal’s priority since Gabriel Jesus’s longstanding absence opened the door for another attacker.
A couple of offers have been rejected as the Ukrainian side has been looking for an amount of around £88 million. Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the Ukrainian winger but the imminent arrival of Joao Felix should close the chapter for them.
The whole financial package would be seen as a developmental project as a player with Mudryk’s calibre could represent Arsenal in the years to come. Both the clubs are discussing the bonuses while agreeing to personal terms shouldn’t be a problem.
The player is very much involved in the transfer and hinted on a number of occasions that he is ready to wear that iconic jersey. The 22-year-old has already contributed to 18 goals in all competitions this season and will be pressured to deliver soon following his arrival to English soil.
Despite all the movements the winger is set to jet off to Turkey with the rest of his Shakhtar teammates as a part of their mid-season training camp. Upon receiving the required approval the player will travel to London to complete the medical and other formalities where he will later be presented as an Arsenal player.
The excitement is pretty high amongst the Arsenal supporters but the youngster will need adequate time to acclimatise to the English conditions before pushing himself to the limit.
