Sevilla are reportedly hoping to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr after contacting the north Londoners.
Marcos Benito has told El Chiringuito TV that La Liga giants Sevilla are looking to improve their midfield options with the signing of Tottenham prospect Pape Matar Sarr. The Andalusian outfit have contacted Spurs for the promising young midfielder.
The 20-year-old Senegalese international is highly rated around Europe, and he could prove to be a quality addition to the Spanish outfit. Sarr has also been linked with AC Milan recently.
The midfielder has struggled for regular game time at Tottenham this season, and he needs to play more often in order to continue his development. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can agree on a deal for the talented young midfielder ahead of the January transfer window.
A loan deal would be beneficial for all parties. Tottenham might not want to lose a prodigious young talent like Sarr right now, and Sevilla could use an inexpensive option to reinforce their midfield. Nonetheless, the 20-year-old promising midfielder has emerged as a viable target for Los Nervionenses.

The Spanish giants have had a disappointing campaign so far and they are currently involved in a relegation bottle. They will have to improve considerably during the second half of the season, and they must look to improve their squad during the January transfer window.
Sarr has previously proven his quality in French football with FC Metz, and he will be hoping to make his mark in La Liga if a move to Sevilla goes through. Meanwhile, Tottenham are lacking in depth in the central midfield, and it will be interesting to see if Antonio Conte decides to bring in a quality player before letting the youngster leave.
Although the 20-year-old is not a key first-team member, Conte will not want a weaken his options by letting the player leave without any alternative. The London club are currently fourth in the league table and they will be hoping to finish in the top four and secure Champions League qualification for next season.
Meanwhile, the talented young Tottenham midfielder will be hoping that he can impress during is loan spell at Sevilla and force his way into Conte’s first-team plans next season. The midfielder has the potential to develop into a key player for the London club, but he needs regular game time to fulfil his potential.
