La Liga outfit Sevilla are reportedly looking to sign Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr and winger Bryan Gil.
According to a report from Mucho Deporte, La Liga outfit Sevilla are looking to improve their squad during the January transfer window. And they have identified Tottenham duo Pape Matar Sarr and Bryan Gil as potential targets.
Pape Matar Sarr was on loan at French club Metz last season, and he impressed with his performances for the French outfit. The 20-year-old was a part of Senegal’s World Cup squad as well and has the potential to develop into a key player for Tottenham in the coming seasons.
Sevilla had a disappointing first half of the season so far, and they are currently battling relegation in La Liga. They will need to improve their squad during the January transfer window to improve in the second half and finish the campaign strongly.
The 20-year-old Senegalese midfielder could prove to be an impressive, long-term acquisition for them. And it remains to be seen whether Spurs are ready to cash in on the player next month. Ideally, Tottenham should look to loan the player out so that he can get regular first-team football at a high level. Such a move would suit both clubs.
The north Londoners might not be keen on letting a talented young player like Sarr leave just yet. There is no reason why the 20-year-old cannot force his way into Antonio Conte’s first team plans in the coming seasons.
On the other hand, Gil is struggling with the lack of game time at Tottenham, and he needs to leave in order to play regularly. Recent reports have linked the Spanish winger with La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca.
He was on loan at Valencia season, and he managed to impress with the Spanish outfit. It will be interesting to see if the player is willing to move back to Sevilla next month. The Spanish outfit have decided to part ways with Isco and they will require a replacement for the 30-year-old midfielder.
The Tottenham prospects could be a quality option for the struggling La Liga giants. And it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can agree on a deal in the coming weeks. For now, the duo faces an uncertain future at Tottenham.
