Crystal Palace are willing to offer €16 million to rope in Galatasaray right back Sacha Boey in the January transfer window.
As per jeunesfooteaux, Crystal Palace are tempted to offer to the tune of €16 million to avail the service of Sacha Boey who also happens to be on the radar of Liverpool.
Boey joined Galatasaray from Rennes in 2021 and has kept his consistency level throughout his presence at the club. He didn’t have a perfect first season at the club due to an injury-ravaged season.
He has been linked with Real Madrid in recent months.
But this campaign he has been a constant threat from the right side of the defence and has nailed down a permanent spot in the setup. Liverpool have scouted the player on a number of occasions as Jurgen Klopp wants more competition for that position at Anfield.
Both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Calvin Ramsay haven’t been perfect and the need for an extra pair of legs has arisen as it stands. It has been expected Galatasaray would entertain a fee in the region of £13 million and Crystal Palace are ready to fulfil their demand on top of that.
The Londoners have identified the French defender as their priority target as Patrick Vieira is not satisfied with the options available at his disposal. Both Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne have hit the twilight of their careers and they will not be in the future plans going forward.
Galatasaray are set for a significant profit as Lyon are also in the line and could join the race. Liverpool are unlikely to afford such a sum for a backup option unless they offload Ramsey who could be out on his way for a loan move in near future.
Palace have continued to be in and around the top ten in the Premier League table and the Eagles manager will be sanctioned a transfer kitty to refurbish the side. Only an outright bid in January could allow them to lay a hand on the player but if Liverpool come calling it could be a tricky situation as Palace cannot match their financial level.
