As per caught Offside, Liverpool are planning to raid Birmingham City to secure the services of George Hall who also attracted interest from another Merseyside club Everton.

Several clubs are lurking around for the young starlet who has already set the tone on the pitch with his unique gameplay. A certain Jude Bellingham had caught the eye of everyone at Birmingham and it didn’t take him very long to attract a big move as Borussia Dortmund came calling for him.

The 19-year-old has grown big in stature and is heralded as a part of England’s golden generation. Hall could follow suit and Liverpool want to take advantage of this situation.

Persistent injury issues to Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson have had a big part to play in their existent midfield crisis and they cannot wait for much time.

Birmingham boss John Eustace spoke highly of the teenager and feels the player should remain at the club for the foreseeable future.

“For me, George Hall is one of the top young players in the league.

“He’s a very effective player whether he starts or we have him coming off the bench.

“He’s only just turned 18 – and he’s got an opportunity to showcase himself here. We don’t want George Hall going anywhere.

“Apart from the three or four we have got coming through – George Hall, Jordan James and Jobe Bellingham – it’s also about giving minutes at the right time to the likes of Josh Williams, Alfie Chang and Tate Campbell.”

Everton are also assessing their options and could snatch the player from under everyone’s nose. In Anthony Gordon they already have one of the most highly rated players and attracting Hall to Goodison Park could save them a lot of time for their future plans.

Birmingham are aware of the fact when a Premier League side comes knocking on the door it becomes impossible to ignore and they might have to let go of their prized asset only for the right price.
