Paris Saint-Germain are set to offer Marcus Rashford an eye-watering wage to entice the player to don their jersey next season.
As per Spanish publication AS, Marcus Rashford could be offered in the region of €50 million per season by Paris Saint-Germain to lure the player all the way to France.
The 25-year-old has been one of the shining young players in the Premier League this season and has carried his form to the World Cup as his three goals in five games proved to be a major contribution in England’s journey till the Quarterfinal.
The United academy product has had a breakthrough campaign so far under new manager Erik ten Hag who appears to have changed a few aspects of the player’s attacking traits and since then he has been up and running.
PSG had a meeting with his entourage this summer over the possibility of a transfer but United were not ready to listen to any offers as the forward is deemed to be an important part of their current project.
Rashford’s current contract will allow other clubs to gear up for a move next summer as he will be free to negotiate a new contract with other clubs. United are aware of interests from other interested parties and are ready to wrap up fresh contract talks as early as possible.
PSG are believed to be chalking a mammoth financial plan which would see the English forward earning a staggering £850,000 per week, more than threefolds of his current pay package.
United do have the financial viability to match their offer and Rashford seems to be quite happy with the current rebuilding phase under the Dutch manager. He seems to have rediscovered his form and it would be a pity if the Red Devils lose one of their most promising academy products for free.
With club football set to resume this month, United would be hoping the forward keeps his ravishing form as they are involved in the top-four race. Despite United’s reservations, PSG will be knocking on the door and it would need a whole lot of convincing for Rashford to sever his ties with his boyhood club.
