Daichi Kamada on Tottenham radar

SSC Napoli vs US Lecce: Preview and Prediction as the Serie A leaders look to strengthen their hold on the summit.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Japanese attacker Daichi Kamada from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to a report from German publication BILD, Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to sign Daichi Kamada from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 26-year-old attacker could be available for a cut-price fee in January.

Kamada will be out of contract at the end of the season, and he could prove to be a quality signing for a reasonable price in January. It will be interesting to see if Spurs try and sign him next month for a nominal fee or wait to sign him on a free transfer in the summer.

Kamada has been excellent for the Bundesliga club this season and he has 12 goals and four assists to his name across all competitions. Eintracht Frankfurt will look to renew his deal and hold on to him beyond this season. But they have not been able to convince the player yet.

It will be interesting to see if they can hold on to the Japanese international beyond this summer. Spurs were linked with him in the summer as well.

Meanwhile, it is no secret that Tottenham need to add more creativity and goals to their midfield. The likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur have been excellent signings for the club, but they are lacking in craft and goals.

The arrival of Kamada will add a new dimension to Antonio Conte’s side, and the Japanese international could help break down the deep defences in the Premier League. And apart from his goal-scoring ability, he will add creativity and imagination in the final third as well.

The fact that he could be available on a bargain because of this contract situation makes the transfer a no-brainer. And Tottenham should do everything in their power to pull off his signature.

Having played in the Bundesliga, Kamada should be able to adapt to the high-intensity style of play in the Premier League as well. The 26-year-old Japanese attacker is at the peak of his career right now and he might be able to make an immediate impact at the London club.

Tottenham have been linked with a number of attacking midfielders in recent months, including Ruslan Malinovskyi. And Kamada would prove to be a smart acquisition for the north London club.
