Real Madrid closely monitoring Alejandro Garnacho

Real Madrid are monitoring Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho and could step up their interest in the youngster.

As per Defensa Central, Real Madrid are interested in snatching Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United and could step up their interest in the 2023 summer transfer window.

Alejandro Garnacho has been a shining armour in Manchester United’s recent matches, as Erik ten Hag has given him a long run of games. The youngster has grabbed his opportunities with both hands and has ventured into the World Cup break with three goals and three assists in his first senior campaign for the club.

Calls were made to include Garnacho in Argentina’s World Cup squad. But Lionel Scaloni did not pick him up in the final list, although it would have been a wonderful opportunity for the 18-year-old to represent his nation on the bigger stage.

However, the teenage prodigy still holds all the cards in his pockets and could switch his allegiance to Spain if he finds it difficult to make it through to the next stage. Having been born in Madrid, he automatically qualifies for Spanish citizenship. But it is up to Luis Enrique whether he allows the Manchester United whizkid to be the next new entrant.

Garnacho’s recent exploits have created a wave among Europe’s top suitors, including Barcelona. And RealMadrid have already started looking for him. Los Blancos have signed Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni in the past year, two of the most talented young prospects. And adding Garnacho on top of them would be one of the most shrewd pieces of business.

Eden Hazard has been struggling to adapt to life in Madrid, and there is a possibility the Merengues offload him next summer. Garnacho’s ability to take on defenders has caught everyone’s eyes, and the youngster will certainly be one of the most exciting attackers if he keeps his head high.

Manchester United are locked in contract talks, and the player is willing to continue his development at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag has the knack for developing young players as he has done in the past, and the Red Devils’ hierarchy believes the 18-year-old has all the ingredients to become the next star at Manchester United.
