Arsenal scouting Brazilian youngster Mauricio along with Real Madrid

Arsenal are the latest team to scout Brazilian attacking midfielder Mauricio Magalhaes, with Real Madrid also interested.

According to Fichajes, Arsenal have entered the chase for Internacional prospect Mauricio Magalhaes. The north London club’s scouts are reportedly watching the 21-year-old Brazilian attacker, with Real Madrid also vying for his signature.

Mauricio Magalhaes has been an unknown quantity until the time big clubs started taking notice of his talents. Real Madrid are among those keen on signing the 21-year-old Brazilian attacker. The Spanish giants have strong connections in the South American market, especially in Brazil.

They have successfully brought in young stars like Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior into the club and made them big stars. The Spanish club are always looking for young talents from Brazil, which the recent pursuit of another player in Endrick shows.

Real Madrid are reportedly working on a deal to sign the 16-year-old, but they face tremendous competition from Manchester United, Barcelona, Chelsea and even Arsenal. Until a few years back, Real Madrid dominated the Brazilian market, but other clubs are seemingly getting to grips now.

Regarding Mauricio, the 21-year-old Brazilian attacker usually plays the advanced midfield role. His stats with Internacional over the season are bright enough for European giants to take notice. Mauricio played 54 times in all competitions, scoring nine times.

Now, Arsenal are seemingly interested in the attacking midfielder. Since Edu Gaspar became their sporting director, the club have had a decent influence in Brazil, and they remain linked with several players. They are currently planning a move for Palmeiras midfielder Danilo.

Using those connections, Edu may have had scouts watching Mauricio recently. If the north Londoners feel the Internacional star can fit into Mikel Arteta’s system, they might make an approach. A January move is ideal for Brazilian clubs, but the Gunners could bide their time before making their move.

Mauricio has a contract until 2025, so the Brazilian outfit could put up a decent demand for the attacking midfielder. Arsenal and Real Madrid’s influence in the market could lead to a battle for the 21-year-old, who seems destined to arrive in Europe at some stage.
