Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has been linked with a move to Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest.
According to Futbol Total, Premier League side Nottingham Forest are keen on loaning in Eduardo Camavinga during the January transfer window. They are ready to pay a loan fee and will foot the entire salary of the talented young Real Madrid midfielder as well.
Camavinga has not been a regular starter for Carlo Ancelotti this season, and a loan move could do him a world of good. The Real Madrid midfielder needs to play more often at this stage of his career to fulfil his potential. The 20-year-old has started just seven games in the UEFA Champions League and La Liga combined.
The Frenchman has shown his quality in bits and parts since joining Real Madrid and has all the tools to develop into a future star. Sitting on the bench at Real Madrid could halt his development, and it remains to be seen whether Los Blancos are keen on loaning him out midway through the season.
Camavinga could be a superb acquisition for Nottingham Forest if they manage to sign him on loan in January. He would add flair, technique and defensive qualities to their midfield.
The Premier League club spent around €160 million during the summer transfer window, and they will be hoping to finish the season strongly. So far, it has been a poor season for Nottingham Forest, and they are 18th in the Premier League table.
Going down after spending that kind of money in the summer would be a devastating blow for Forest. So they need to get their act together in order to beat the drop. Signing someone like Camavinga will certainly improve them. The youngster has the experience of playing under pressure, and he has seen Real Madrid win major trophies during his short time at the club.
It will be interesting to see if Camavinga is willing to take up the Premier League challenge in January. The Frenchman has the quality to thrive in English football, and he could gain some valuable experience at Nottingham Forest during the second half of the season.
