Antonio Conte does not want to rush into signing a new Tottenham deal as the Italian waits on offers from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Calciomercato, Antonio Conte wants to bide his time before committing to a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur. The Italian tactician is waiting to see how the market evolves, as offers from Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid could arrive in the future.

Antonio Conte has given Tottenham their best start to a Premier League season. The north Londoners sit in third, level on points with Manchester City, who remain ahead on goal difference. Spurs are four points behind Arsenal despite only losing once this season.

Their overall style has come in for criticism this term, but Conte’s ability to get results on board has somehow overshadowed those doubts. Moreover, since his appointment in November 2021, Conte has delivered on his promise and steered Tottenham to a top-four finish.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is satisfied with the Italian’s work and is willing to offer a new contract. Conte’s current deal originally expires next summer, but few reliable reports suggest the club hold the option to extend it by another season.

Tottenham want to crush the speculation and produce a new offer. Reports suggest the new deal could be last up to 2025, complete with a massive increase in his salary. The speculation is that Conte could earn around €20 million net with the new agreement, making him one of the highest-paid managers in football.

The north Londoners are keen to wrap up the deal during the break for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. For one, they want to secure the club’s mid-term future, and secondly, speculation around the Italian’s future seems to be bothering Tottenham for some time.

Recent reports pointed at Juventus circling for the Italian’s signature. Despite public support of current boss Massimiliano Allegri, the Bianconeri hierarchy wants a return of Conte at the helm.

That aside, there are also whispers about PSG’s reported interest and Real Madrid. The current story suggests Conte is in no hurry to sign a new deal at Spurs. Instead, the Tottenham boss would like to wait and see how the situation with Real Madrid and PSG evolves. Interestingly, Tottenham striker Harry Kane is waiting to see how Conte’s situation evolves before he signs a new deal.

Hence, the outcome could be that Conte would stall on a prospective new contract and wait on offers from the European giants. There could be some worry coming out of this for Tottenham, although they would like to continue their efforts to persuade their manager to extend his stay.
