Barcelona will reportedly look to snap up Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva on a priority basis in 2023.
According to reputed Spanish journalist Edu Polo, Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva remains on Barcelona’s radar. And the Portuguese international midfielder is a priority target for the Catalan club.
Xavi Hernandez wants improve his midfield options in the upcoming windows, and Silva could prove to be an exceptional acquisition for his side. The Portuguese international has been impressive for Manchester City ever since his move from AS Monaco, and he has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League.
Silva is at the peak of his powers right now, and he could give his best years to Barcelona. Apart from its quality as a player, Silva has a tremendous work ethic and is a relentless player when it comes to off-the-ball work.
Furthermore, he is versatile enough to operate anywhere in the midfield and in the front three. It will be interesting to see if Barcelona can agree on a deal with the Premier League champions for Silva in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Edu Polo also claims that Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi is on Barcelona’s radar. Apparently, the Catalan giants are looking for a long-term successor for Sergio Busquets. Furthermore, Frenkie de Jong was linked with a move away earlier this summer, and the Dutch midfielder’s long-term future at the Spotify Camp Nou is up in the air as well.
