Liverpool have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe as the youngster wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain as soon as possible.

According to reports, Kylian Mbappe doesn’t want to continue playing at PSG and is looking for an imminent solution. Liverpool have long been an admirer of the forward and if the player is made available on the transfer market the Reds could be the first one to test their resolve.

Mbappe was on the verge of completing a sensuous move to Real Madrid as the Spanish giants had a verbal agreement with the player’s contingent.

But PSG came calling with a lucrative offer which the player couldn’t overlook. He went on to commit to a three-year stay which made him the highest-paid player in the world at such a tender age.

The happy ending seemed to have closed the door for Mbappe’s departure but the player appears to have a change of heart and has now reiterated his desire of finding a new destination.

Liverpool’s current status won’t bode well with Mbappe’s reputation but Jurgen Klopp would surely at least ponder about making Mbappe their marquee arrival.

Mohamed Salah hasn’t been at his venomous best while the departure of Sadio Mane couldn’t have come at the worst time. The Senegalese’s absence has been felt dearly and Mbappe could be an answer to all the problems.

Lionel Messi’s growing influence might be one of the reasons behind Mbappe’s fallout with the club and his deteriorating relationship with Neymar has been pretty evident.

The 23-year-old won’t come cheap and Liverpool’s last big buy was Darwin Nunez last summer. It remains to be seen whether the hierarchy approves of the move as a crazy amount of money will likely be involved.

Real Madrid are pretty well positioned as a potential suitor and despite Mbappe’s hefty price tag, a bidding war could be witnessed in the summer.
