Barcelona will reportedly look to loan 19-year-old Spanish wonderkid Pablo Torre back to former club Racing Santander for the 2022/23 season.
According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Pablo Torre could soon return to former club Racing Santander from Barcelona in the ongoing transfer window. The Catalan giants are seriously considering loaning the 19-year-old wonderkid out to the Spanish minnows for the 2022/23 season.
Pablo Torre is one of the most promising young prospects in Spain, with the teenage prodigy making tremendous progress when he joined Racing Santander from CD Marina Sport at a very young age. The Spanish whizkid was so influential in his formative years that he became a pivotal figure for Racing in the 2021/22 season despite being in his teens. But his exploits also attracted Barcelona.
Torre was excellent during his stint with the Spanish minnows, amassing 14 goals and 16 assists in 59 appearances across all competitions. The 19-year-old’s performances were critical in propelling a solid 2022/23 campaign for Racing Santander. And the wonderkid captured the attention of several prominent Spanish clubs with his performances before Barcelona swooped him away in the summer.
Barcelona competed with bitter rival Real Madrid but quickly became the clear front-runners to secure the services of the 19-year-old Spanish wonderkid. And the Blaugrana agreed to sign Torre from Racing Santander in March before formally completing the move when the summer transfer window opened.

Torre featured in a few pre-season games for Barcelona, showing his quality while forcing Xavi Hernandez to consider giving him first-team opportunities in the 2022/23 season. But with Barcelona’s midfield and offensive units already bloated, the teenage whizkid will not get the chance to feature regularly.
With Torre still in his formative years, Barcelona should send him out on loan to a club where he can be a prominent figure instead of having him play for Barcelona B. And the Catalan giants are seriously considering sending the 19-year-old wonderkid to Racing Santander for the 2022/23 season.
The Green and Whites have been sluggish in the early days of the 2022/23 season in the Segunda Division, and having Torre back at Estadio El Sardinero might give them a shot in the arm. The Spanish prodigy might also relish the opportunity to play at his former stomping ground and hope to embark on a solid 2022/23 campaign if he joins Racing Santander from Barcelona.
