Manchester United will reportedly compete with Arsenal and Real Madrid in the race to sign Youri Tielemans in a Bosman move in 2023.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Youri Tielemans is the subject of interest from Manchester United over a possible Bosman move in the 2023 summer transfer window. The Leicester City midfielder is also a target for Arsenal and Real Madrid over a potential free transfer.

Youri Tielemans has found a stable footing since ending his frustrating stint with AS Monaco by joining Leicester City nearly three years ago. The Foxes initially signed the 25-year-old on loan for the second half of the 2018/19 season before completing a permanent transfer in the 2019 summer transfer window.

The Belgian international has featured over 150 times thus far for Leicester, chipping in with 24 goals and 24 assists. But Tielemans faces an uncertain future at the King Power Stadium after entering the final year of his contract. And such a situation has captured the attention of several European bigwigs, including Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Manchester United all showed interest in Tielemans this summer, but none of the three suitors has produced an offer yet. And widespread reports have claimed that they will prefer to sign the Belgian playmaker in a Bosman move in the 2023 summer transfer window as he does not look likely to sign a new contract with Leicester City.

The report claims that the Foxes have made peace with the idea of losing Tielemans as a free agent next summer, which has alerted Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Manchester United. Arsenal might look to sign Tielemans in a Bosman move in 2023 because Granit Xhaka is on the wrong side of 30 by then.

As for the interest from Real Madrid, the Merengues need to lay down a succession plan for Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. And while Jude Bellingham is Real Madrid’s top target, they might need to sign two creative midfielders in 2023. But Los Blancos and Arsenal face stiff competition from Manchester United for the 25-year-old.

The Red Devils have shown interest in Tielemans this summer but might not pursue him after signing Casemiro from Real Madrid. And with Christian Eriksen on the wrong side of 30, Manchester United might need a long-term creative midfield solution, bringing Tielemans into the picture.

The race to sign Tielemans in a Bosman move in the 2023 summer transfer window is heating up. It will be interesting to see how the odds change following Manchester United’s entry into the equation, with Arsenal and Real Madrid also vying for his signature.
