Adnan Januzaj wants Everton move

Adnan Januzaj is reportedly waiting to complete a move to Everton, who remain interested in the 27-year-old Belgian international.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Adnan Januzaj is keen on moving to Everton, and the free agent is waiting for the Toffees to make an offer. The Belgian international left Real Sociedad after his contract expired and remains intent on returning to the Premier League.

There is an frustrating situation brewing at Everton, who are still looking for new players to improve their squad. The big dilemma for the Toffees is whether to take Chelsea’s interest in 21-year-old Anthony Gordon seriously.

Fans have been left discontent by the idea of losing a player like Gordon, having already seen the club sell Richarlison to Tottenham in the summer. Letting the 21-year-old depart would seriously dent Everton’s hopes for the season and deplete the squad of top quality for the campaign ahead.

However, considering Everton’s financial struggles, having posted losses north of £370 million in the last three years alone, they could sanction Gordon’s sale if a significant offer arrives. They have rejected Chelsea’s second bid worth £45 million, and their stance remains unclear.

Chelsea are ready to push ahead with a new offer, and if Everton accept it, they will have to find a suitable replacement for Gordon. While it will be a blow for the Toffees, they could ease their financial burden by bringing in funds.

They have shown interest in Adnan Januzaj, a free agent who left Real Sociedad after his contract expired. The 27-year-old will be the bargain signing the Everton board might approve, although there are questions about whether he improves their current squad, let alone be the replacement for Gordon.

As things stand, Januzaj is keen on joining Everton in a Bosman move, and he awaits a contract offer from the Merseyside club. Irrespective of Gordon’s case, the Toffees have been in the market for a wide attacker to replace Richarlison.

Spanish clubs have been keen on signing Januzaj, although he has made up his mind over returning to the Premier League, where he once played for Manchester United and Sunderland. For now, it is safe to expect any move for the 27-year-old to materialise in the transfer window’s latter stages, which shuts in under two weeks.

Januzaj could be a smart addition as he was consistent during his time at Real Sociedad. His goalscoring numbers are not noteworthy, but his availability for a Bosman move makes the prospect all the more attractive for Everton.
