Trent Alexander-Arnold has established himself as one of the best full-backs in Europe since breaking into the first-team squad at Liverpool FC over half a decade ago. Several right-backs, including former La Masia trainee Mateu Morey, have emerged on the radar of Barcelona as alternatives for Azpilicueta. But with Sergino Dest facing an uncertain future at Camp Nou, Barcelona will have to consider signing two right-backs in the foreseeable future.
However, the Blaugrana might put off pursuing the second right-back until the 2023 summer transfer window, with Sergi Roberto likely to be the backup option for the position.
