West Ham United issue “hands off” warning to Arsenal for Jarrod Bowen

West Ham United are in no mood to sell star winger Jarrod Bowen to Arsenal this summer.

According to ClaretandHugh, West Ham United have made it clear in no uncertain terms to London rivals Arsenal that star winger Jarrod Bowen is not for sale this summer.

The Englishman has been a revelation at the London Stadium since joining the club from Hull City in 2020. With 26 goals and 21 assists in 101 games, he has been prolific for David Moyes’s side and remains a key player for the east Londoners.

Bowen was West Ham’s second-highest scorer last season and provided the necessary inspiration in attack. Primarily a right-winger, the 25-year-old is capable of playing anywhere along the frontline. The arrival of Gianluca Scamacca could consign him to the right flank next season, making the best of his abilities.

The Englishman’s performances have attracted attention from cross-city rivals Arsenal, who have looked impressive in the preseason. Mikel Arteta’s side have added firepower to their lineup by bringing in Gabriel Jesus, who has to his credit, delivered so far.

The Gunners could also do with a right-winger who can both score and create chances. Nicolas Pepe has so far proven to be a bust, and it makes sen for the North Londoners to move on from the Ivorian. Adding Bowen to the lineup will add much dynamism to the Arsenal lineup.

A right-winger is on the agenda this summer with Arsenal going close to landing Raphinha. Their efforts were in vain as the player eventually moved to Barcelona. Bowen might not be as dynamic as the Samba star but has admittedly put up better numbers over the 2021/22 season.

However, West Ham have issued a hands-off warning to Arsenal over a transfer for the Englishman. Bowen’s deal at the London Stadium runs until 2025, and the Hammers hold the advantage when it comes to negotiations. That does not make life any easier for the Gunners.

Bowen has also attracted considerable attention from Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp has publically stated his admiration for the English international but has not made a play to land him this summer. Whether they will return to challenge Arsenal for his signature in the future remains to be seen. For now, though, Bowen is going nowhere.
