Spanish prodigy Adam Aznou has completed his move from Barcelona to Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
Reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Adam Aznou has left Barcelona to join Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window. The Bavarian giants have secured the services of the 16-year-old prodigy on a free transfer, with the player signing a five-year contract with the German club.
Adam Aznou is the latest prodigious prospect to emerge from Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy. The teenage wonderkid has been going from strength to strength at the Catalan club in the last few years and had been plying his trade for the Cadet A side in the recently-concluded season.
The Spanish whizkid has also broken into his nation’s under-16 team, although he is eligible to represent Morocco in the future. But Aznou’s stint with Barcelona has ended, with the 16-year-old leaving the club for free. And the Barcelona prodigy is joining Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window to seek a quicker pathway to first-team football.
The Bundesliga champions do not necessarily have the best reputation for grooming youngsters into world-class individuals, as they tend to poach the best talents away from fellow German outfits and other clubs in Europe. That is not to say that some of the most prodigious prospects do not come through the ranks at Bayern Munich.

Nonetheless, Aznou will hope to have a bright future at Bayern Munich, and he might compete with Alphonso Davies in the years to come. But for now, the 16-year-old Spanish prodigy will represent a youth team at the Bavarian club before hoping to seal a quick pathway to the first-team squad.
Interestingly, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have been familiar foes in the transfer market this summer. The Catalan giants have famously poached Robert Lewandowski away from Bayern Munich, with the Polish striker completing a big move to Camp Nou. Barcelona also wanted to sign Kenan Yildiz, but he joined Juventus instead.
As for Aznou, the Spanish prodigy has signed a three-year contract running until June 30, 2025, upon leaving Barcelona to join Bayern Munich. The deal also has the option for Aznou to sign a professional contract with the Bundesliga heavyweights.
