Celta Vigo, Getafe table offers for Borja Mayoral

Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral is reportedly keen on leaving this summer and has offers from La Liga clubs Celta Vigo and Getafe.

According to MARCA, Borja Mayoral is ready to leave Real Madrid in the ongoing transfer window, with Celta Vigo and Getafe interested in signing the Spanish centre-forward.

Borja Mayoral came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid but has spent almost his entire senior career away on loan. The 25-year-old has spent time away at VfL Wolfsburg, Levante (twice), AS Roma and Getafe before returning to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Mayoral started the last season at Roma but a lack of game-time saw him join Getafe in January, where he performed well. In 18 matches for Los Azulones, the 25-year-old Spanish striker netted six goals and an assist.

Back at the club, it had been reported that Carlo Ancelotti might consider keeping Mayoral at the club as a backup for Karim Benzema as Real Madrid do not plan to sign any new players in the position. However, the La Fabrica product is keen on leaving the club in search of regular game-time, after having been away on several loan spells and entered the final year of his contract.

And now, Mayoral has offers from two clubs in the form of Celta Vigo and Getafe as he edges towards the exit doors at Real Madrid. Celta Vigo are in the market for a new centre-forward to provide support to Iago Aspas in the final third and have identified the 25-year-old Los Blancos ace as a target.

However, Celta Vigo will have to face competition from La Liga rivals Getafe, who are keen on signing Mayoral permanently after he impressed in his short stay on loan at the club in the second half of the last season. Both clubs have reportedly sent in offers for the Real Madrid striker, with Los Blancos ready to sell him for €10 million.

Mayoral is also courting interest from Italy, with Bologna and newly-promoted side Monza being linked. However, he could favour staying close to Madrid by joining Getafe, where he performed well last time out. It remains to be seen what the Real Madrid prospect chooses as he nears an exit from the club.
