Manchester City are reportedly inching closer to the capture of Le Havre’s defensive prospect Isaak Toure this summer.
A recent report from L’Equipe has offered an update on the future of Isaak Toure. The Le Havre whizkid is one of the most sought-after players in the lower division of French football, with Lyon and Marseille both keen on securing his services.
Toure’s likely destination, though, could be Manchester City. The 19-year-old defensive sensation has recently travelled to the Etihad facility and has been left mesmerised. Toure is keen on joining the Manchester City project in the summer, even agreeing personal terms with the Citizens over a move to Manchester.
A centre-back by trade, Toure has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence since his promotion to the senior side of Le Havre last summer. The Frenchman racked up 17 league appearances this past season, impressing the onlookers with his dogged defensive mentality and an imposing frame that makes him an intimidating figure for the opposition.
Indeed, the 19-year-old central defender is highly distinguished for his towering 2.04m frame that would make him one of the tallest players in world football. Toure’s imposing figure lends him a considerable advantage in physical and aerial duels while making him a threat from set-pieces.
Isaak Touré is so tall, 206cm. The average height of France's defence is 199cm, that’s crazy. ?? #U19EURO pic.twitter.com/whefXKzg6a

Despite his strong physique and relative success in Ligue 2, though, Isaak Toure has a long way to go before he can carve out a name for himself at Manchester City. It is why the English champions are currently studying the prospect of loaning him out in the summer. And while Nathan Ake is linked with Newcastle United, the Dutchman could stay put at the Etihad.
Manchester City have no shortage of sister clubs that will be more than willing to sign the talented 19-year-old defender from Le Havre. One of the clubs in contention to snap him up in the summer are Troyes, who narrowly survived relegation from Ligue 1 this past season and will be keen on reinforcing their defensive unit ahead of the new season.
A move to Troyes could hand Toure the opportunity to test his skills at the highest level of football and gain some valuable professional experience in the French top flight before returning to the Etihad, in an attempt to fight for his place in the Manchester City first-team.
