Everton and West Ham United are reportedly vying for the signature of Leeds United wide man Jack Harrison.
According to 90 min, Everton and West Ham United have joined Newcastle United in keeping tabs on Leeds United winger Jack Harrison. The Whites narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of the Premier League season but could start the next term without some of their best players.
Winger Jack Harrison, who joined the club permanently last summer, has been one of Leeds’s top performers this season. He has scored ten goals across competitions for them, on top of two assists, in 39 matches this term.
Harrison was as influential, if not more, last season as well. The winger had scored eight and assisted as many goals in the league. That he can play on either wing is a bonus.
The 25-year-old has been on Newcastle United’s radar for quite some time now, with the Magpies also monitoring the situations of Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips. Everton and West Ham United have joined them in Harrison’s pursuit now.
There is still little clarity over Leeds’s stance on a possible exit for the winger, but a lot could also depend on Raphinha’s future at the club. The Brazilian led the fight for Leeds this season with 11 goals and three assists in the Premier League, is reportedly all set to join Barcelona. The Blaugrana have been long-term admirers of the winger and now look poised to complete his signing.
Midfielder Kalvin Phillips could also be on his way out of the club this summer. The English international has just two years left on his contract with Leeds, and with potential suitors lining up, the Whites are eager to extend his contract.
The Whites are still preparing a suitable offer for the 25-year-old, who will have to be made one of the club’s highest-paid players to convince him to stay at Elland Road. The likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham United and Aston Villa have all reportedly shown interest in Phillips, or have had internal discussions over a possible move.
As for Harrison, a move to Everton might be counter-productive, even though he will likely be a regular, as the Toffees seem to be in the doldrums. As for the move to West Ham, with Jarrod Bowen linked with several clubs across Europe, the Leeds wide man could carve a place for himself at the London Stadium.
