Tottenham are eying a move for Everton trio Richarlison, Anthony Gordon and Ben Godfrey as Antonio Conte seeks to make changes to his squad in the summer.
According to the Telegraph, Tottenham are interested in Everton stars Richarlison, Ben Godfrey and Anthony Godron. Spurs are keeping tabs on the Toffees’ situation in the relegation battle and could swoop in on their players if they fail to stay afloat.
Tottenham are entering a pivotal period ahead of the upcoming transfer window. The north London side want Antonio Conte to stay as manager and want him to take the lead in recruiting players. They have several areas to strengthen, as the Italian wants quality squad depth to turn the team into title contenders next season.
With their links to Raheem Sterling, it is clear a wide forward is something they are keen on, while a midfielder and a defender may arrive as well. Tottenham could let many of their current stars leave the club to clear out space for making the squad compact and add quality depth.
The north London side are reportedly interested in three Everton players ahead of the next window, as the Toffees could still suffer relegation, which would make those acquisitions cheaper.
Richarlison, Ben Godfrey and Anthony Gordon are on Tottenham’s radar as Conte wants the talented stars to bring quality into his squad. Starting with the Brazilian, he is already planning on an exit from Everton, amid interest from elsewhere.
Richarlison was eager to leave last summer, but Everton kept hold of the Brazilian, who has, in turn, helped them immensely in keeping their hopes of Premier League survival alive. But the former Watford star is linked with an exit again this year and he could be considered as an alternative if Tottenham fail in their pursuit of Sterling.
Meanwhile, Godfrey is coming on the back of a good season despite Everton’s struggles in defence. The versatile centre-back gives Conte plenty of options to rotate and play him in different positions at the back if needed.
Anthony Gordon could come in and become a part of the young core in the works at the club. They have the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, who arrived in January, along with Bryan Gil, who has done a decent job while on loan to Valencia.
Gordon’s performances have been admired throughout the Premier League, and he could be an expensive acquisition irrespective of Everton’s status in the Premier League. Spurs could do well with those three stars, but there are no guarantees they would target them if the Toffees stay up. Any pursuit would, therefore, hinge on where Frank Lampard’s side end up next season.
