Real Madrid snap up Asier Bonel

Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid have reportedly secured the services of 13-year-old Spanish wonderkid Asier Bonel, who will arrive from Osasuna next season.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, the latest prodigious footballer to move to Real Madrid hails from Spain. Asier Bonel will join Real Madrid, with the 13-year-old Osasuna wonderkid set to arrive in the capital heading into the 2022/23 season.

Asier Bonel is one of the most highly-rated young kids in Spain, with the teenage prodigy going from strength to strength since joining the Osasuna academy a few years ago. A midfielder by trade, the Spaniard has shown superb technical skills in his short youth career, making an impression for Los Rojillos’ Cadete B and Cadete A teams this season.

The 13-year-old has been tipped to make the leap to the Osasuna first team in the years to come. But Bonel’s time at the Pamplona-based club is coming to an end, as he will join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window once his campaign with his current side ends this season.

The Merengues are renowned for signing the brightest young talents across Spain and beyond to build a youth setup that can produce superstars of tomorrow. Such an outlook has fetched Real Madrid several legends over the years, none more so than former captains Iker Casilla and Raul Gonzalez.

Most recently, the Spanish giants have been busy scouring the Brazilian market, with Endrick being one of the players they have chased for a long time. But Real Madrid’s scouts are also busy in Spain, with Los Blancos securing a deal to bring Ferran Quetglas to the Spanish capital heading into the 2022/23 season.

Asier Bonel is the latest player to emerge on Real Madrid’s radar, and he is tipped to make the step up to the next level of youth competitions once he arrives from Osasuna. The 13-year-old Spanish wonderkid will be a solid addition to Real Madrid’s youth setup, with the report claiming he will play in Youth League A.

While Bonel still has a long way to go before he can think of breaking into the Real Madrid first team, the move to their youth setup will kick-start a dream to represent Los Blancos one day. For now, he is set to arrive from Osasuna in the summer transfer window.
